AAPDEP Projects Begin in Sierra Leone!

aisha Dr. Aisha Fields will lead the AAPDEP contingent to Sierra Leone. She is a member of the African People.s Socialist Party and holds a Ph.D. in Applied Physics.

A contingent of African scientists representing the All African People's Development & Empowerment Project's African Corps of Engineers, Scientists and Healthcare Workers (ACESH) will be traveling to Sierra Leone on January 4, 2008 to begin the Assessment Phase of three development projects.

The upcoming trip, organized in partnership with the Africanist Movement of Sierra Leone and West Africa, was recently featured in an article in the Concord Times of Sierra Leone.

jaleel nash Jaleel Nash is the onsite project coordinator for the Community Farming and Rainwater Harvesting Projects in Sierra Leone. He holds a Masters Degree in Agribusiness from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.

Over the past several weeks, people have shown tremendous support for our work in Sierra Leone, contributing almost $6000 to AAPDEP in an effort to raise the $10,000 needed for this stage of the projects.

gaida Gaida Kambon is the National Secretary for the African People.s Socialist Party and is a member of the Board of Directors for AAPDEP.
